If you love lasagna, you’ll adore this easy stovetop lasagna. It’s a quick, one-pan dinner that brings together classic lasagna flavors: seasoned ground beef, marinara, fresh basil, melted mozzarella, and creamy ricotta.

This stovetop lasagna has become a weeknight staple in our house. It reheats beautifully, makes great leftovers, and everyone always asks for seconds.
All the familiar lasagna elements are here, just simplified and assembled in a single pan. Start with browned, seasoned ground beef and sweet onions, add garlic and herbs, then stir in marinara. Toss in cooked pasta and finish with layers of melting mozzarella, spoonfuls of ricotta, and a scattering of Parmigiano Reggiano.

I hope everyone enjoyed the New Year holiday. With the season of comfort foods in full swing, this quick lasagna felt like the perfect recipe to share—less fuss than a sheet-pan lasagna, but just as comforting.
We squeezed in lots of family time over the break: baking cookies, sledding, watching movies and playing games. Now that my son is back at school, weeknight dinners need to be faster without sacrificing flavor, which is exactly where this recipe shines.

This stovetop lasagna is ideal when you want lasagna flavors but don’t have the time to assemble and bake a layered pan. For deeper flavor, let the browned beef simmer gently in the marinara a bit longer when time allows, but it’s still delicious if you skip the extra simmer.
You can easily customize this dish: add sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms, swap in plant-based meat for a meatless version, or use different cheeses to match your pantry. The method is forgiving and adapts well to substitutions.
