I’ve loved overnight oats for years — they’re quick, healthy and very convenient for busy mornings. This Cinnamon Swirl version is inspired by cinnamon-swirl pastries but made lighter and ready to eat straight from the fridge.
This week I’ve teamed up with Schwartz, who have refreshed their herb and spice jars with new packaging that keeps spices fresher for longer, allows easy measuring with a teaspoon-friendly opening, and stacks neatly to save shelf space.

To celebrate the rebrand I created a few simple recipes using Schwartz Ground Cinnamon — a versatile spice that works beautifully in both sweet and savoury dishes. The first recipe I wanted to try was these Overnight Oats, inspired by the cinnamon swirl pastries my kids adore on weekend mornings. During the week I prefer to serve them something a little healthier that will keep them full — these oats give that same warm cinnamon flavour without the pastry.

These oats are incredibly easy to prepare: mix the ingredients, cover and chill. They’re ready to eat the next morning — enjoy them cold, warm them briefly in the microwave, or take them on the go in a jar.

Ingredients
Scale
- 75g rolled oats
- 100ml milk
- 75g yogurt
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ⅛th teaspoon Schwartz ground cinnamon
- 20g raisins
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least an hour.
- Remove from the fridge and either serve immediately or warm gently in the microwave.
