Just five simple ingredients make this grilled peach whiskey smash the perfect summer sipper.

Warm evenings call for a bright, fruity cocktail. This grilled peach whiskey smash is easy to prepare and full of fresh summer flavor. The recipe combines smoky, caramelized peaches and lemon with aromatic mint or basil, a touch of honey for sweetness, and a good splash of bourbon. Muddle everything together, strain over ice, and finish with a splash of club soda for effervescence. It’s summer in a glass.

Ingredients
- 1/2 peach, pitted and halved (save the other half for a snack)
- 1/2 lemon
- 4 basil or mint leaves (or a combination)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 ounces bourbon whiskey (about 60 ml)
- Ice cubes
- Club soda, for topping (optional)

Tips and suggestions
- Grilling the peach and lemon adds a smoky-sweet depth, but you can skip grilling and use them fresh if you prefer.
- If grilling, lightly brush the peach slices with oil or nonstick spray to prevent sticking to the grates.
- Scale the recipe easily — double, triple, or more to serve a crowd.
- Use fresh mint or basil depending on your preference; a mix of both works nicely for added complexity.
- To make a non-alcoholic version, omit the bourbon and add lemonade or sparkling water with a splash of extra honey to taste.
