“WHAT?! Hot chocolate ready in 2 minutes? Hot chocolate on a stick? How…“
I know what you’re thinking.
You might be sure it’s impossible to make hot chocolate in literally two minutes. I’m happy to tell you it’s not — if you follow this recipe. Ready?

The best Christmas gift: hot chocolate on a stick!
To be honest (you know I’m always frank), this wasn’t entirely my idea.
A few weeks ago I accidentally bought these. I meant to gift them to a friend, then realised he’s not a fan of spices.
No matter—actually better, because last Sunday my partner and I cuddled on the couch enjoying a hot drink made from one of these blocks.
It took two minutes and warmed us for the whole evening. Pure #hyggevibes.
I immediately thought: a chocolate block that melts into milk to make hot chocolate? Genius.
I had to recreate it.
So here you go: I made these very simple 3 flavours of hot chocolate on a stick.
If you love making edible gifts at Christmas, these are perfect small presents. Just add pretty bags and some festive ribbon and you’re done!
How cute are they?

Make them in 2 minutes and 2 steps.
Here’s how to make them.
It turns out ‘two’ is the magic number in this recipe. Also — two of the hot chocolates have only… TWO ingredients. Yep.
Steps to create these adorable sticks:
- Melt the chocolate
Of course — start by melting the chocolate. Please read the next section on how to melt white chocolate properly. - Add flavour and let set
You can do this step before or after melting the remaining chocolate. Pour into moulds and let solidify. I used snowflake moulds, but use whatever shapes you prefer.
You can even use paper or plastic cups. Finally, attach the sticks as described below.

When your chocolate snowflakes are set, gift them or keep them for a sudden craving. Let them melt into hot milk and voilà — instant hot chocolate.

The tricky part: melting white chocolate.
The first time I made these I struggled a bit with white chocolate. I melt dark chocolate all the time, so that’s easy, but white chocolate behaves differently.
How to melt it properly? Cut it into very small pieces — the smaller, the better.
Using white chocolate chips works even better. This way it melts in moments.
Use a microwave or a bain-marie — whichever you prefer.
(Hope this helps!)

Texture: not a super-thick hot chocolate.
One note on texture: this drink won’t be as thick and creamy as some classic hot chocolates.
If you want a dense, creamy hot chocolate, then this other version is more suitable. Everyone here loves it!
Still, this melting-stick version is wonderfully comforting.
